Capsule was started in 2009 out of the founder’s ‘frustration’ with the CRM options on the market. Today they boast thousands of customers in over 150 countries worldwide, although they remain based in Manchester. They offer one of the most cost effective packages on the market making them ideal for startups and small businesses.
The system can integrate with a wide range of other programs to further strengthen the functionality. It’s a Cloud based system, too, which means it can be accessed via any device connected to the internet making your business operation truly mobile.
Capsule offer a free package aimed at startups and sole traders with up to 2 users, but their standard Professional package is primarily aimed at small to medium sized businesses.

What’s good about Capsule?
Capsule have a reputation for providing very good customer support via their website. The information available includes step-by-step guides and lots of FAQs, plus real life people are at the other end of an email Monday – Friday.
The system can integrate with a lot of different types of software such as MailChimp, GSuite, ClearBooks, Wufoo Forms, ClickDesk and SupportBee.
Easy to use
Capsule has been designed with the user in mind and, because it doesn’t have the same level of complexity as some other systems, it’s very simple to get up and running. For example, their ticket management function helps your staff to prioritise and manage their time by alerting them to tasks and actions that need to be completed by a certain time.
You can’t do much better in terms of price than the free package, but £8 per month per user for the Professional package is also very attractive. And, because you aren’t tied into a contract, the size of your system can grow as your business does.
Something to think about…
For larger companies Capsule may not offer the complexity of functionality or customisation that’s needed.
